Birchwood Leisure Centre

This Leisure Centre offers excellent facilities for health and fitness. The floodlit multi-sports all weather Astroturf court allows sporting activities to continue until 10pm. There are four adult football pitches, one cricket wicket, one junior football pitch and a training area.

Facilities1The indoor facilities include a multi-functional hall used for badminton, aerobics, basketball, five-a-side football, netball and roller hockey.

Other highly established activities include soccatots, "extend" for the 60+ and the pilates life style studio.

 

Beeches Fitness Studio which is part of the leisure complex has exercise equipment which ensures a maximum range of fitness and health facilities for both serious and casual users.

The younger set are guaranteed a funpacked session at the soft Play Centre within the Leisure Centre. The "Kids Funzone" accommodates toddlers through to those under 5 foot tall for parties and day time use. Exclusive use parties can be booked from 6.30pm - 8.00pm or 8.15pm - 9.45pm. A longer session of 7.00pm - 9.30pm is also available. As this activity is almost certain to work up a thirst, the cafeteria offers a wide range of both food and drink and is open at weekends and all school holidays. (This Centre was previously known as Activity World)

Sports parties and regular courses for all ages from 5 upwards are available.

Set in the picturesque village of Lemsford, the hall is situated in grounds overlooking the Lea Valley. Adjacent to the pretty church of St. John's, it accommodates many local activities including fly dressing,
Scottish Dancing, and carpet bowls. It is also the home of Annabel's Montessori School for 2 - 5 year olds.  The centre is also the home of the Splitz Dancing School.

Outside the hall is a football pitch, a fenced "dog free" play area and a large car park. The function hall has wood block flooring, a contrasting wood beam ceiling and soft lighting to give the ideal effect for any occasion. With a capacity 120, a lounge bar and outdoor terrace, the hall is a very popular venue.

The hall at Newgate Street will comfortably seat 120 people and has a stage area which is ideal for private productions or functions. There is also a kitchen, bar area, disabled toilets and ample parking facilities.

The village social activities which take place in the hall include a monthly wine circle.

The hall is also used by children from the local school for PE and a toddler group as well as social events organised by the Church. A small Post Office is open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for the convenience of the local community.The sporting facilities include badminton, carpet bowls with outdoor tennis courts and a football pitch. The children's play area is fenced and is a dog free area.

Situated in 12.5 acres of its own grounds, Roe Hill Hall is a very active Sports and Community Centre. The very full programme of community activities includes aerobics and is the home of the Hatfield Rugby Club and Hatfield Crusaders Cricket Club.

It also has a playgroup, an after-school club and a fenced children's play area.The main hall, which has access for wheelchair users, will comfortably seat 90 and has an adjacent bar and patio. The well-equipped kitchen has a serving hatch into the main hall. All the facilities are available to hire for community activities, business and private functions.

In 1994 Oxlease House was completely re-built. The community centre caters for a wide range of people by promoting a varied choice of activities.

This Community Hall will cater for and seat 80 people. There is a main hall, a small committee room and a kitchen.
