Hertfordshire’s new Local Offer goes live

The one stop shop for information and advice on special educational needs or disabilities, Hertfordshire’s Local Offer, has been revamped and is now LIVE!

There are over 25,500 young people in Hertfordshire with a special educational need or disability (SEND). Only one fifth of those children register for extra support through an educational, health and care plan (formerly a statement) because of an exceptional need.

Where are the other 20,000+ going for support?

The Local Offer was introduced by the government to help improve the quality of information about what local services and support is available.  Whether it’s help to find a support group, information about how to apply for an assessment, what the pathway to adulthood entails or simply as a starting point for more detail on a child or young person’s condition, Hertfordshire’s Local Offer is the place to look.

The new Local Offer is simple and easy to navigate and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, email us at localoffer@hertfordshire.gov.uk and we’ll do our best to find it for you.
