PART  TIME FINANCE OFFICER

We are looking for someone to help ensure that the Council continues to manage its resources effectively and efficiently. You will have a financial background and good knowledge of Sage Line 50. The successful candidate will assist with bank reconciliations, financial management and management of accounts.

You will work with the Head of Operations, reconciling our main bank account, create a set of management accounts and providing audit papers for statutory accounts, making the role varied and interesting. We are always looking for ways of improving our services and you will be expected to suggest ideas to enhance the processes and procedures you carry out and to implement change.

The post requires great attention to detail and accuracy, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. It is also necessary to be able work with colleagues in order to achieve month end deadlines. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude, who can multi-task and is willing to rise to a challenge.

Additional benefits include 22 days annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 5 years continuous service) pro rata and membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Main responsibilities

To assist in all aspects of finance using SAGE Line 50, including the accurate and timely processing of receipts, payments and salaries, purchase and sales invoices and ad hoc journal entries.

To manage the submission of all statutory returns for VAT and External Audit, within the deadlines laid down.

To assist the Head of Operations provide professional advice and support to Committees and the Responsible Financial Officer.

   
DUTY MANAGERS REQUIRED FOR BIRCHWOOD LEISURE CENTRE      

Birchwood Leisure Centre are looking for Duty Managers (evenings and weekends). Previous experience of working in a leisure centre desirable, although full training is provided. BARISTA STAFF NEEDED FOR OUR NEW COFFEE SHOP!

Birchwood Leisure Centre are looking for staff to join the Barista team in their new coffee shop.  You will have experience of working in a similar environment, and operating a commercial coffee machine.
