HOSPITALITY MANAGER REQUIRED – CLOSING DATE 3rd JULY 2017

We are looking for an individual who will deliver heartfelt hospitality and someone who wants to make a difference by deliver excellent services to exceed visitors’ and hirers’ expectations.

You must a be a strong communicator to your team, be a good organiser with meticulous planning – ATTENTION TO DETAIL! You will also be involved in recruitment and inducting new members of the hospitality team. It is essential that you are a strong leader and good at directing your team but also a team player.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Hospitality Manager that can lead the team and help enhance our food offer and service.

We need someone with experience in Hospitality Management who can inspire and motivate the team yet retain a hands-on approach to the operations.

The role requires someone who is commercially minded with the ability to demonstrate a track record of developing efficient and cost effective processes and that you have first class communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Package description

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure that all hospitality services are delivered to the highest standards
  • Confident in managing a small team of direct reports
  • Must enjoy being hands on and customer facing – visibility and control is essential
  • Organising and coordinating a high volume and a wide variety of events
  • Ensure that all customer requirements are delivered in line with Client and Council expectation
  • Staff development including training and motivating staff
  • Leading innovation and trialling creative ideas
  • Managing the budgets & increasing sales

Ideal candidate

  • Hospitality Manager or Assistant Events & Hospitality Manager experience essential
  • Excellent client management experiences, confident in building relationships and pitching new ideas to senior management
  • Team leadership, team synergy and motivation
  • Clear and confident decision making
  • Self motivation, initiative and high energy
  • Commercially focused with ability to measure impact and results.
  • Ability to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organisational levels.
  • Strong communicator that can confidently speak with all levels within the business, where necessary utilising negotiation and reasoning skills.
  • Communicate and collaborate across many teams about multiple projects taking place simultaneously.

PLAYWORKERS REQUIRED FOR HOLIDAY PLAYSCHEME

Birchwood Leisure Centre are looking for new staff to join their Holiday Playscheme team.  The role is school holidays only, with a working pattern of Monday-Friday, 8.30am-6pm. Those appointed will be responsible for providing and assisting with a programme of activities for children in Year 1-7, creating a positive, safe, and caring environment.  Activities can include; sports, arts and crafts, cooking and day trips.  Please complete the application form which can be downloaded HERE and return it to sara.newton@hatfield-herts.gov.uk


RECREATION ASSISTANTS REQUIRED FOR MAINLY EVENING AND WEEKEND WORK

Birchwood Leisure Centre are looking for new staff to join their bank of casual staff to help cover mainly evening and weekend work.

Shifts are usually 8 hours and work includes;

  • Setting up and dismantling of sports equipment
  • Reception work and telephone enquiries
  • Dealing with customers
  • Carrying out cleaning as required

All staff are required to have an enhanced DBS check.

Pay is £8 per hour.
