Nominate a location in Hatfield for a major public artwork

New Geographies is a public art project which invites members of the public to nominate locations for 10 major site-specific visual arts commissions across the East of England.

University of Hertfordshire Arts (UHArts) is one of nine partner organisations, including Wysing Arts Centre, First Site and Kettles Yard, who are working across the region to encourage nominations in their local communities.

For the first part of this programme, you are invited to nominate overlooked and/or unexpected local places – nominations so far include woodlands, chapels, abandoned factories, shopping centres, reservoirs, anywhere that is special to you, or a place that you think deserves more attention.  We would like to see Hatfield on the map!

Nominations can be made online www.newgeographies.uk – deadline Sunday 22 October.  The more nominations of particular areas, the more likely they could be to be selected (only 10 locations will be selected across the East of England).
